About Our Team
Pittsburgh Doula Network is Pittsburgh’s oldest and most respected doula service. We have a network of trained and experienced doulas knowledgeable in newborn care, postpartum recovery, breast, chest, and bottle feeding, family support, and most importantly – care for the birthing person.
These women are dedicated to the events involved in the childbearing year. They are ready to offer the peer support you need after you bring home baby and provide the best infant care in Pittsburgh. Each doula is infant-child CPR certified and has Act 33/34 clearances, so you can be sure your child and family will be safe and well cared for.
We respect your privacy, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics set forth by Doulas of North America (DONA). Their position paper on the postpartum doula’s role is an excellent read on the scope of a doula’s practice.
Collectively, Pittsburgh Doula Network doulas have a wealth of wisdom and huge hearts. To give you an idea of who OUR doulas really are, besides being mothers, they also individually have areas of specialty:
- Lactation Consultant, IBCLC
- Lactation Counselor, CLC, CLEC

Our Director
I’m Suzy, the Director and Owner of the Pittsburgh Doula Network. With credentials as an IBCLC, DONA trained Postpartum and Birth Doula, Certified Gentle Sleep Consultant, and Infant Massage Therapist, my journey into this field was ignited by a deep-seated passion for nurturing and caring for babies.
My path to becoming an IBCLC began after years of being a devoted stay-at-home mom. Recognizing the profound impact that supportive care can have on mothers and their newborns, I became board certified in 2016. This pivotal moment inspired me to further my training as a doula, enhancing my ability to provide comprehensive support to mothers.
