Childbirth is an empowering event for women and their families. Each woman is different, each birth is different. Her birth and post-partum memories are special, and the preservation of her goals and wishes is our mission.
We are committed to offering professional postpartum doula services to women from all socio-economic backgrounds. Our goal is to assist women and couples in the creation of a positive and fulfilling prenatal, birth and postpartum experience. Pittsburgh Doula Network doulas are independent and work for you, not your caregiver or hospital.
To schedule an acquaintance visit, inquire about fees, or if you would like more information, please contact us.
Pittsburgh Doula Network is Pittsburgh’s most respected postpartum doula service. Our network of trained and experienced doulas are knowledgeable in newborn care, postpartum recovery, breast and bottle feeding, family support and most importantly – mothercare.
Need help when the baby comes home?
The joy and elation of having your new baby in your life is often accompanied by a mixture of other feelings. Labor and delivery can be physically and emotionally draining and can cause you to feel unprepared to face the unfamiliar and sometimes overwhelming experience ahead of you. But, ready or not, baby is here!
It is not unusual to have awe, confusion, happiness, self-doubt and anxiety all at once. You may also feel that there is not enough time in the day, or enough energy left for you to do the things that once were a routine part of your life.
Sometimes you will need a little tender care and pampering yourself...
Having a postpartum doula allows you to bring your new baby home to a relaxing environment where you and your family can be sensitively cared for as you recover.
Doulas are experienced mothers who understand a new mom's needs.
