Meet Michelle
POSTPARTUM DOULA
My name is Michelle. I have been supporting new moms and families for nearly 25 years. I’m a trained postpartum doula through Dona International and CPR certified. When I was a new mother, I had a vision of how things would work. I would return to my corporate job after 6 weeks and continue pumping for another 6 weeks. When you hold that little person and look into their eyes for the first time, it changes everything! And so the journey began, supporting families by providing services for the smoothest transition of life with a new baby.
Through the years, as a postpartum doula, I have supported over a hundred families with rest, recovery, and reassurance. I believe giving a new mother the permission to take a nap, the time for an uninterrupted shower, or a good night’s sleep is invaluable to the recovery after birth. I provide information, resources, and emotional support so the adjustment to family life can be done with confidence. As a skilled doula, I will take wonderful care of your newborn, support the breastfeeding/pumping mother, and help maintain a relaxing home atmosphere.
I am a native of Pittsburgh; born, raised, and live on the East side. I am a wife and mother of two children, Abigail (24) and Alexander (22). I enjoy gardening, traveling, and coming home with a great deal from a thrift store.
