My journey with birth work has no real beginning. I have always been fascinated by the process of creating life and curious about how it all works. This led me to many years of reading and researching. When the first of my friends became pregnant, I found myself with more knowledge than I had realized I had, and I was full of excitement to assist in her process. Having worked as a yoga instructor for many years, I developed a passion for connecting deeply to our bodies, holding space for myself and others, and guiding people to find empowerment within themselves. The decision to become trained as a doula felt like a natural step forward. Now I am beyond grateful to be doing this work and sharing in such an incredibly sacred time of life. I want every person giving birth to know that you have choices, you have support in those choices, and you deserve respect through your birth journey.

I’m currently in nursing school and after graduation, I hope to train as a midwife. I’ve served moms in home births and hospital births, and have experience in vaginal and C-section deliveries. While birth plans may change, my commitment to providing unwavering love and support to you and your family remains constant.

Hey there, mama! I’m Lauren… I live just outside of Pittsburgh with my beloved husband and our beautiful son. His birth led me into a deep dive of all things maternal related, and that is where my heart to become a doula really stemmed from. God opened several obvious doors for me, and in the fall of 2023, I officially began to pursue my doula certification through the Masters of Maternity program at CCAC.
