Hi, I’m Katie! I have spent the last seven years dedicated to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I have a BA in Psychology and a Certificate in Human Services. I am a Certified Childbirth Educator through Lamaze International, with training from Whole Body Pregnancy. My first Certification as a Labor Doula was through ProDoula. I have since certified as a Washington State Doula and Certified Doula and Patient Advocate through Intentional Birth and the Perinatal Patient Advocacy Center. With additional training in trauma-informed birth support, certified in Body Ready Method, and additional safety certifications. I am also a Postpartum Placenta Specialist and offer in-home encapsulation. I’ve had the honor of attending over 150 births and nearly 400 families through childbirth classes and placenta encapsulation.
Inviting someone new into your story—and into your space—is deeply personal. I don’t take that lightly. I value the time spent building trust and relationships with each client. My approach is grounded in the understanding that pregnancy, birth, and parenting are never one-size-fits-all. That’s why I start by listening to your unique needs, and then offer personalized support rooted in compassion, skill, and lived experience. I know firsthand the difference it makes to feel truly seen and heard—and that’s exactly what I hope to offer you.
I live in Dormont with my husband and our three daughters (12, 10, and 7). We love theme parks and roller coasters, baking together, enjoying good coffee, and finding new restaurants to try. When I’m not with my family, you’ll probably find me walking through the city, at a live show, or soaking up some music and theater.
